Argon will exhibit a range of its chemical detector simulators at OPCW's Third Exercise on the Delivery of Assistance – ASSISTEX 3. Hosted by the Government of Tunisia at the Stade du 7 November sports complex in Rades, Tunisia, the exhibition will run from 13-15 October 2010.
Argon products will include the AP4C-SIM, CAMSIM, LCD3.2e-SIM, and S4PE-SIM which will be shown responding to safe electronic simulation area effect and point detection sources. Instructor activated simulated instrument failure and consumable depletion will be demonstrated, together with a display of how assessors can use the instrument reporting function to objectively determine trainee equipment use performance.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the PlumeSIM system in operation for the first time on the continent of Africa. PlumeSIM has recently been demonstrated in Europe, North America, and Asia to wide acclaim, where existing users of Argon simulation instruments are increasingly recognising the advantages of extending the benefits of Argon systems into larger scale field exercises with multiple equipment types and multiple personnel.
Compatible with other Argon simulators for multi-instrument training, the AP4C-SIM is a dedicated simulator for safely and cost effectively training in the use of the AP4C detector.
The AP4C-SIM also enables instructors to teach response to equipment consumable depletion, and records trainee errors in equipment use for After Action Review.
